I'm giving 4 stars because I ordered the smoke color and it was nothing like the photograph. In the picture, smoke looks like a worn khaki with gray tassels on the strings. My boots were clearly gray. The box said smoke, but again, nothing like the picture. (They looked like the photo for dark gray.)On the up side, I love gray as well and the boots are fantastic, so I'm keeping them. The quality, look, fit and comfort are superb. I'm on my feet all day at work and I'll be happily wearing these a lot. If you want a really cushioned shoe (like memory foam) you might want to purchase your size in wide and buy insoles. These are very comfortable, but not springy and the toe of a regular would be too snug with an insole.
